Hardware Versus Software Synths and Instruments?

If you go back 2000 years ago most of the beats are made such as the hardware Akai MPC, motives and Korgs and Roland. Fast forward to 2012, and now most of the beats are made using software sequencers. Daws as Logic Studio Pro Tools, Motu beans, FL Studio, Reason and Ableton Live have come a long way in the last 10 years. When the power of new computers have been taken into consideration must ask what role the hardware samples and sequencers to play in today's music production scene.

What is better in comparison to hardware software? Some might say it depends on who is talking too much or your personal taste, but facts are facts. The first program is much cheaper. For example, Logic Pro is now $ 199, but the MPC, Motif, Triton, or can run as much as 2-3000 U.S. dollars. For this amount of new composer or producer can get a computer DAW software, speakers, and MIDI controller. Software sequencers provide a much better value.

Some hardware purist will tout the quality of sound as a reason to stick with the hardware. Once again, facts are facts. Companies such as Apple Computer and Software NATIVE INSTRUMENTS make an instrument with the same or better sound quality and some of the hardware partners.

What about features? Well Daws have been more opportunities than software sequences. Most of the Daws are full fledge recording studio. They are scalable, you can add more extras than the ship. Some, such as Logic Pro Daws can midi into sheet music secret. The editing possibilities are endless with many of these products.

So why still use hardware sequencers at all? The use of hardware synths and sequencers for live performance. Today even the most computer power to freeze and crash. In a study that is something I can deal with the composer, but it will be a disaster in live performance. Also nothing beats the sound of live instruments, and it's live or in studio. It really depends on the type of music you record. Urban music can do so only through the software. Orchestral, rock and other genres may require a hardware synth or live.

and the hardware and software will always have a purpose and their fans, if you are new to the composer of the budget stick with the software, if you set up and can not afford a thousand dollars to get the high-end hardware synth. Both will enhance your experience and live recording.
